The Georgian Era (1714 – 1837)
The Georgian period refers to a time of political upheaval between 1714 and 1837 during the reigns of four English kings named George. If you are lucky enough to own some Georgian jewellery treat it with due respect as it’s pretty rare.
This is a stunning and rare piece of jewellery history. A spray brooch with ornate, realistically modelled flower and leaf details. Set around a flower with a centre stone of 0.35cts and five petals totalling 2.40cts of old cut diamonds, the two additional flowers and leaves provide an extra 2.10cts of diamonds to this beautiful Georgian brooch. In an open backed silver mount, set in yellow gold the brooch has a secure hinged pin fitting to reverse, approximately 9.5cm in length.
